The Dolph’s impregnation resins we can offer
Dolph’s impregnation resins and varnishes are the right product for every manufacturer in the Benelux:
Solvent-based varnishes become less and less popular due to their solvent content and organic emission consequences. Nevertheless, due to their excellent stability in tanks, their versatile process ability and usually good technical performances, they will remain important in the future. The main advantages of solvent-based varnishes are:
- Easy to process
- Outstanding stability
- Highly versatile for any kind of machines (motors, generators, transformers)
- Good resin film build
- Excellent general technical properties
Solventless impregnation resins are very reactive with monomers, which could be considered as VOC (volatile organic compounds). They show outstanding reactivity compared to varnishes, keeping low viscosity specification, which allows very quick penetration and draining. There's nothing better at this stage which could compete in terms of high productivity with minimised process cost. The organic emission could be strongly minimised according to process choice. The main advantages of Dolph’s impregnation solventless varnishes are:
- Room temperature impregnation
- Excellent stability at room temperature
- Very high reactivity
- Adaptable on any kind of impregnation process and machine
- High resin film build and slot fill
- Outstanding technical properties
Solvent-free Dolph’s impregnation resins have been developed during the past 15 years under European environment regulations pressure in order to strongly minimise the global organic emission-level. Much progress has been made and is always ongoing in order to minimise the VOC (volatile organic compounds) resin content on one hand, and also eliminate any toxicological risks for the workers and the environment. The solvent-free impregnation resins range is growing quickly and strongly with monomer-free resin solutions or containing reactive monomers / oligomers which are green, safe and not considered as volatile. Due to usual higher viscosity and a bit lower reactivity than solvent-less resins, they usually are less versatile and should be used on well optimised processes and impregnating equipment. The main advantages of solvent-free varnishes are:
- Excellent tank stability even at high temperature
- No VOC
- Low emission during curing
- Green labels
- Outstanding technical properties
Dolph’s varnishes and impregnation resins are integral components of insulating systems for all classes of rotating equipment, motors, and generators. These materials provide environmental protection, vibration reduction and, in some cases, additional dielectric strength. The choice of the right material depends on the end-use application. The product range of water-based varnishes is the result of a dedicated team with worldwide experience, true concern for the environment, and substantial safety and technical expertise. A representative solution is our Aqua-Therm product range, which includes the following attractive features:
- Easy and safe to use
- Low environmental impact
- Excellent impregnability
- Outstanding bonding properties
- Good overall protection
- High cost-effectiveness
